自2018、2021两届“敦煌杯”中国民族室内乐、重奏比赛的成功举办以来,“敦煌杯”系列民族器乐比赛的中国民族室内乐、重奏比赛活动项目实现了以比赛形式集中展示民乐合奏重奏新气象,也为民乐新作品的呈现提供了舞台,达到了有效向基层音乐学习者传承发展中国民族器乐的既定目标,使我们有信心继续深耕细作,稳步形成三年一轮的固定举办频率,通过打造活动品质深入推广民族音乐文化。
2024年,第三届“敦煌杯”中国民族室内乐、重奏比赛暨“敦煌国风”音乐节将于4月—7月期间举办,同期将举办第三届“敦煌奖”中国民族室内乐及独奏新作品展评活动。本次民族室内乐、重奏比赛过程中同时邀请海内外专业机构联合进行新作品的国际化推广,并对进入决赛的团队、组合、具有地方特色的音乐作品进行宣传推广,扩大民族音乐的受众群体和传播范围。
比赛分为初赛和决赛两个阶段,特邀海内外著名作曲家、音乐理论家、演奏家参与评审,充分体现大赛的权威性,并按照成绩分组排出金银铜奖;决赛阶段举办现场讲座、示范排练等活动及开闭幕式音乐会和“敦煌国乐”国风音乐节系列音乐会。

以公平、公正、公开为原则,发现、推广具有文化艺术审美价值和时代创新精神、适合基层艺术社团推广的优秀民族室内乐、重奏作品。鼓励并宣传推广积极倡导、表达新时代民族音乐艺术的各级各类乐团组织。

比赛类别与分组
比赛的类别或组合形式:
组合要求:参赛作品须为多声部作品,即包含两个声部以上(含两个),齐奏及同声部演奏的作品和形式不在本次比赛的范畴。允许适量加入大提琴、低音提琴、铝板琴、颤音琴、小钟琴等西洋乐器,但人数不能超过乐队总人数的三分之一。
一、民族乐器组合类
1、单一乐器组合形式(如:古筝重奏、琵琶重奏、笛子重奏、二胡重奏、打击乐重奏等等)
2、同类乐器组组合(如:弹拨乐器组重奏、合奏,拉弦乐器组重奏、合奏,吹管乐器组重奏、合奏,打击乐器组重奏、合奏等)
3、不同乐器、不同乐器组的综合性重奏、合奏、室内乐形式(包括地方乐种)
二、跨界多元风格的民族器乐组合
中国民族乐器组合占比不低于一半,可混搭人声、西洋乐器、电声乐器等形式。
所有组别演奏作品和伴奏均应确保该作品绝无侵害任何第三方知识产权及其他相关权益的情形。如因此导致任何侵权行为和任何个人或集体经济、精神损失的,均应由提交该作品者自负责任,与组委会和主办单位无关。
比赛分组

1、小型乐团 (3人——9人)
2、中型乐团 (10人——25人)
二、比赛年龄分组
1、非职业组
小学组 (2/3成员为小学生)
中学组 (2/3成员为中学生)
青年组 (2/3成员为18-40岁)
公众组 (2/3成员为41岁以上)
2、职业组
职业A组:
特指国内十一所音乐学院的专业学生、教师及国家级职业团体演奏员为主要成员的团队。
职业B组:
国内艺术院校、在京专业院校的专业学生、各院校青年教师及省级职业团体演奏员(南京艺术学院、山东艺术学院等艺术学院;中国戏曲学院、北京师范大学等在京专业院校)为主要成员的团队。
职业C组:
地方综合类大学、大专专业学生、青年教师及地市职业团体演奏员为主要成员的团队。
职业少年组:
国内专业音乐院校、艺术院校附中、附小及中专类院校专业学生为主要成员的团队
(注:职业组分组取决于2/3成员目前所在学校、单位或团体情况)
海外团队根据海外赛区具体情况分组报名。
比赛方式与流程说明
核心提示:
1、比赛全程分为初赛、决赛两个阶段,初赛以视频方式线上评审,决赛为现场进行。
2、曲目演奏时长(初赛/决赛):职业组不超过10分钟,非职业组不超过8分钟,按全曲演奏。
3、所有参赛组别初赛按要求报送一首全员演奏录像,曲目自选,全曲演奏。职业组决赛曲目不可与初赛曲目重复,非职业组决赛曲目可与初赛重复。
4、本届比赛的参赛乐团(组合)名称从初赛到决赛必须一致(获奖和推广名单以此为准),报名后不再更改,建议以机构或单位名+乐队名来命名(如XX市X XX室内乐组合、XXX市XXX乐团、XXXX学院XXXX乐团)。
5、初赛和决赛的人数变化不能超过±2人。
6、团队参赛曲目以格调高雅,内容新颖为佳,尽可能体现室内乐和重奏的艺术表现力。

初赛一律采用评委审看参赛乐团(组合)录像视频的方式进行。6月25日前完成初赛视频提交。

初赛视频要求:A、演奏者在光线明亮处,正面向摄像机镜头,设定合适的距离以确保每一位演奏者清晰可见。B、初赛视频必须是在2023年6月1日到2024年6月25日期间(一年内)录制完成的。C、初赛视频文件名以参赛乐团(组合)的名称命名。D、初赛视频必须为一镜到底没有后期编辑修饰过的文件,提交格式为MP4 ,清晰度不小于720*480p,手机拍摄的必须用横屏拍摄。E、拍摄时不能报幕,视频中不能体现团队名称、曲目名称等信息。F、超过1G大小的高清视频文件请自行转码,转码后再上传。G、报名录像资料不予退还。

2024年7月1日在活动官方网站www.cn-imc.com发布初赛结果。入围团队可网络在线办理确认参加决赛手续,未入围决赛的参赛乐团(组合),组委会不再通知,所交资料和评审费不予退还。

决赛将于2024年7月25-28日在北京线下举办。

2024年7月1—10日,入围决赛团队办理确认参加决赛手续,组委会同步通知决赛具体交通住宿参考及乐器准备要求。

决赛推广宣传期:入围决赛的团队可在决赛准备期间拍摄乐团故事、排练花絮、成员采访(特写)等视频、图片、文章,或自己制作的团队宣传小视频发到组委会,经大赛官网编辑整理后,结合比赛作品,陆续在各平台发布,为乐团作更大化推广宣传。(乐团推广自愿参加,没有额外费用,不影响评审结果)

组委会在决赛时提供常用调式的古筝、扬琴、钢琴、大型打击乐器,其他乐器请选手自行携带,不提供练习用琴。
奖项设置
1、进入决赛的乐团(组合)按照参赛作品并参考年龄等条件分组别评分,平均分95分以上为金奖、90-94.9分为银奖、85-89.9分为铜奖,其他为优秀演奏奖;
2、组委会将设立"优秀指导教师奖"。
3、奖品/奖金:
*各组别金、银、铜奖的团队获得奖杯、获奖证书;个人获得奖章及获奖证书;
*进入决赛,未获得金、银、铜奖的团队和个人获得优秀演奏奖证书;
*评委会华彩奖:根据评委会投票,职业组和非职业组共产生两个评委会华彩奖团队,分别获得奖金(人民币)壹万元(税后)。
注意事项
1、所有选手一旦报名参赛,即表明自己认可本章程。因此都必须遵守本次比赛的各项规定。
2、组委会拥有本赛事音像制品的广播、电视播放权及音像制品表演范围内的使用、出版和发行权。获奖团队有义务参加组委会组织安排的公益性演出或出访演出活动。
3、参赛者自行对自己填报的参赛曲目负责,比赛曲目与报名曲目不符者不予计分。组委会不存在为报名团体进行曲目核对的责任与义务,若出现参赛曲目与章程要求不符等情况,评委有权终止该选手比赛,产生一切后果由选手承担。所有参赛选手和家长,都应遵守比赛规则尊重组委会的工作调度和评委会的评审结果。对比赛过程中出现的某些问题如有意见,请与监委会反映。对无理取闹并影响比赛者,组委会有权取消其参赛资格。已经报名但因个体原因退出比赛的乐团或成员,不退评审费。
4、如遇不可抗力因素取消或推迟活动,组委会将在官方网站公布相关信息。

THE THIRD “DUNHUANG CUP”CHINESE CHAMBER MUSIC ORCHESTRA AND ENSEMBLE COMPETITION
·Mission Statement:
Based on the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness, to discover and promote outstanding Chinese chamber music works with cultural and artistic aesthetic values and the spirit of innovation of the era, which are suitable for the promotion of fundamental arts associations, and organizations of all levels and types of orchestras that positively advocate and express the artistic manifestation of Chinese music in the new era.

Both professional and non-professional Chinese chamber music orchestras and ensembles from all over the world are welcome to register.

Competition Categories and Groupings
Category or Form of Combination for Competition:
Pieces must be polyphonic works, i.e. containing more than two voices (including two), unison and homophonic performances are not included in this competition. It is allowed to add cello, double bass, aluminum plate piano and other western instruments, but the number cannot exceed one-third of the total number of orchestra members.
I. Chinese traditional instruments ensemble category:
1. Single instrument ensemble (e.g. guzheng ensemble, pipa ensemble, flute ensemble, erhu ensemble, percussion ensemble, etc.)
2. Same catargory instruments (e.g. plucked instruments ensemble, string instruments ensemble, wind instruments ensemble, percussion instruments ensemble, etc.)
3. Fusion music ensemble and chamber music of different instruments catergories.
II. Pop music style in traditional instrument ensembles:
More than half of the instrumental combination should be Chinese instruments. It can play with MIDI accompaniment and both the performance and the accompaniment should ensure that the work in no way infringes on any third party intellectual property rights and other related rights. If this leads to any infringement and any individual or collective economic or moral loss, the person submitting the work shall be responsible for it and has nothing to do with the organizing committee and the organizer.
Competition Grouping
I. Automatic grouping by registration size.
1. Small ensemble (3 people - 9 people)
2. Medium-sized orchestra (10 people - 25 people)
II. Competition age grouping
1. Non-professional group(divided into four groups)
Elementary school group (2/3 members should be elementary school students)
Secondary school group (2/3 members should be secondary school students)
Youth group (2/3 members should be 18-40 years old)
Adult group (2/3 members should be over 41 years old)
2、professional group (divided into four groups)
Professional Group A:
Specially refers to music major students, teachers and musicians of national professional organizations, who graduate from eleven music academies in China.
Professional Group B:
Music major students of Chinese art colleges, professional colleges in Beijing. And young teachers of each college and performers of local professional groups .
Professional Group C:
Music major students and young teachers of local comprehensive universities and colleges.
Professional Junior Group:
Students from Chinese professional music middle school, elementary school and secondary which affiliates to art colleges. (Note: Vocational group depends on 2/3 of the members' current school and organization status)
Competition Format and Process Description
Core tips:
1. The competition is divided into two stages: initial review and final review. The initial review will be judged on-line by video, and the final review will be held on-site.
2. Length limitation ( initial/Final ): not more than 10 minutes for professional group, and not more than 8 minutes for non-professional group, playing according to the whole piece.
3. All participating groups are required to submit a all-member performance video for the initial review. The piece of music is of your choice. The final pieces of the professional group cannot be repeated with the initial review pieces, and the final pieces of the non-professional group can be repeated with the initial review.
4. The name of the participating orchestra ( ensemble ) of this competition must be the same from initial review to final review ( the list of awards and promotion is based on this ), and it is suggested to name it with the name of organization or unit + the name of the orchestra ( e.g. XX City X XX Chamber Music Ensemble, XXX City XXX Orchestra, XXXX College XXXX Orchestra ).
5. The change of the number of people in the initial review and final review should not exceed ±2 people.
6. The pieces of the team's performance should be elegant and novel, reflecting the artistic expression of chamber music as much as possible.

2. The initial review of the competition will be held in the way that the judges review the video recordings of the participating orchestras ( ensembles ).
3. Complete the initial review video submission before June 25th.
4. The video requirements for the initial review: A. Players should be in a brightly lit place, facing the camera lens, and set a suitable distance to ensure that each player's face is clearly visible. B. The video of the initial review must be recorded during the period of June 1st, 2023 to June 25th, 2024 (within one year). C. The file name of the video of the initial review should be named by the name of the participating orchestra (ensemble). D. The video of the initial review must be one shot to the end without post-editing and modification of the file, submitted in MP4 format, with a clarity of not less than 720*480p, and must be shot with a horizontal screen if it is shot by a cell phone. E.The video must not reflect any information related to the team name F.Please ZIP HD video files over 1G before uploading. G. The application video information will not be refunded.
5. Initial review judging fee: 200 RMB/person
6. July 1, 2024 will be released on the official website of the initial review of results. The shortlisted teams can confirm their participation in the final review online. The organizing committee will not notify the participating orchestras ( ensembles ) that are not shortlisted for the final review, and the information and judging fee paid are non-refundable, and you can ask for the judging comments and suggestions from the judges by WeChat or email.
Final Reviewd
1. The final review will be held on July 25-28, 2024 in Beijing.
2. The judging fee for the final is RMB 400 per person.
3. July 1-10, 2024, teams shortlisted for the final review will go through the procedure of confirming their participation in the final review, and the organizing committee will continue to notify the final review of the detailed transportation and accommodation references and the requirements for the preparation of musical instruments.
4. Final Promotion and Publicity Period: The finalist team can shoot videos, pictures, articles such as orchestra(ensemble) stories, rehearsal highlights, member interviews (close-ups) during the preparation period of the final review, or send their own promotional videos to the organizing committee, which will be edited and sorted out by the official website of the competition, and then combined with the competition pieces, released successively on various platforms for the orchestra(ensemble) to make a greater promotion and publicity. (The promotion of the orchestra will be voluntary, without extra cost, and will not affect the judging result)
5. The organizing committee will provide guzheng, yangqin, piano and large percussion instruments of commonly used tunings during the final review, and other instruments players will bring on their own, no practice instruments will be provided.
Award Setting
1. The chamber orchestra (ensemble) entering the final review will be rated according to their pieces and with regard to age and other conditions, with an average score of 95 or more as the Gold Award, 90-94.9 as the Silver Award, 85-89.9 as the Bronze Award, and the others as the Outstanding Performer Award;
2. The organizing committee will set up the " Outstanding Instructor Award".
3. Prizes:
*The team of Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in each category will be awarded a trophy and an award certificate; individuals will be awarded a medal and an award certificate;
*Teams and individuals who enter the final and do not win the gold, silver or bronze awards receive certificates of outstanding performance awards;
* Jury Special Prize: Two special prize teams will be each awarded 10,000 RMB (ten thousand yuan) according to the jury's vote(post-tax).
Important Information
1. By signing up, participations agree to these rules and must follow all the competition's requirements.
2. The committee holds the right to broadcast, use, publish, and distribute the competition’s audio-visual content. Winning teams should take part in any charity performances or tours arranged by the committee.
3. Participants are responsible for their own submitted pieces and will not be scored if they do not match with the registered pieces. The organizing committee has no responsibility or obligation to check the pieces for the registered groups. If there is any discrepancy between the pieces and the requirements of the regulations, the jury has the right to end the competition for the participant, and the participant will be responsible for all the consequences. All participants and their parents should respect the rules of the competition and respect the scheduling of the organizing committee and the evaluation results of the jury. If you have any comments on certain issues during the competition, please reflect them to the organizing committee. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify any person who is unreasonable and interferes with the competition. No refund of judging fees will be made to orchestras or members who have registered but withdrawn from the competition due to individual reasons.
4. If the event is canceled or delayed due to unpreventable factor, updates will be posted on the official website.
The final right of interpretation of these regulations resides with the Organizing Committee of this event, and additional notices will be provided for matters not addressed herein.
